I have a passion for all things related to flight and relish the opportunity to take to the air as/whenever possible. As a child, my brother and I would jump on our bikes, ride through country lanes and chase hot air balloons, then we’d get in the field and help pack them away. The affinity Bristol and hot air balloons have has enabled me to see them from a different perspective. Hot air balloons are beautiful, people find them fascinating and I try to capture that in my artwork. Although balloons feature in many artworks, they are usually part of the background of the picture, not the main subject. My pictures bring them to the foreground. That said I also enjoy painting a wide and varied variety of subjects.
